Overview of the Web site

The web site has been divided into a left and right frame. Both frames are scrollable, either up/down or left/right. The left frame always contains the legend to the maps within the Plan. The right frame contains either the Written Statement or the Plan's maps. In its default setting the right frame contains the contents to the Written Statement.

The Maps

To aid navigation simplified overview maps of all Plans within the Wycombe District Local Plan have been created. The Inset Locator Map can be selected from the Legend panel and doing so will replace the contents page of the Written Statement in the right frame.

From the Inset Locator Map the user can select the Main Settlement/Inset Maps within Wycombe District, namely:

All of the Settlement/Inset maps have an overview map from which you can choose to view an area of map in more detail. It is possible to move to other areas of a map by clicking the North, South, East and West arrow buttons that border each map area or by clicking the small map button at the top of the page. This button returns the user to the relevant overview map from which another area of a map can be selected.

Settlement/Inset Maps can also be selected from the 'Choose a map' drop-down menu at the top of the Legend panel.

Key places in the Wycombe District can be seen on a map by selecting from the 'Choose a place' drop down menu near the top of the Legend panel.
